Kerala Coffee: Spice‑Shaded Elegance from India’s Malabar Coast

Kerala, along India’s Malabar Coast, is the country’s second‑largest coffee producer after Karnataka. Plantations thrive in the Western Ghats, especially in districts like Wayanad, Idukki, and Palakkad, where altitude, monsoon rains, and fertile soils create ideal conditions for both Arabica and Robusta beans.
