Coastal Kenya Coffee

Climate & Soil: Warm, humid conditions with sandy and loamy soils.

Flavor Profile: Generally lighter-bodied, smooth, and mild with subtle herbal or spicy notes.

Production: Smaller scale compared to Central Kenya, often intercropped with other crops.

Eastern Kenya Coffee

Regions: Embu, Meru, Machakos, Kitui.

Climate & Soil: Fertile volcanic soils, moderate rainfall, and high altitudes.

Flavor Profile: Bright acidity, floral and citrus notes, complex and vibrant cup.

Reputation: Often considered closer in quality to Central Kenya coffees, with more pronounced fruitiness than Coastal beans.
